We practice three times per week in Portland on the Willamette River. We meet at the Riverplace Marina. No experience necessary. Reach out to us for more details.
No need to buy any equipment just to give us a try. Paddles and life jackets are available.
We’d love for you to join us!
Whether we’re out on the water or gathering for team events, we always find ways to have fun together—practicing, racing, connecting, and giving back through volunteering.
Annual dues for the 2025 season are $220, which includes insurance, boat rentals, and complimentary use of life jackets and paddles. If you join later in the year, no worries—dues are prorated!
Come be a part of the team—we can't wait to paddle with you!
We meet 20 minutes before launch time “at the flags” to warm up together and get our bench assignments. It’s a great time to stretch, chat, and get pumped!
We'll be on the water for about an hour, give or take, depending on what the weather has in store.
No gear? No problem! We’ve got paddles and personal floatation devices (PFDs) you can borrow.
Dress to get wet! This is a water sport, and yes — we practice rain or shine. Wear quick-dry clothes and shoes that won’t mind a splash (or three) or deep puddles.
Gloves are popular! Most paddlers wear them. Just know they’ll get wet! In winter, neoprene gloves are the go-to. In summer, fingerless gloves keep things cool and grippy.
If the sun decides to make an appearance (or even tries to), sunscreen and sun protection are always a good idea!
If you wear glasses, we highly recommend a strap — otherwise, they might end up living at the bottom of the Willamette River.
Got small personal items? Toss them in our giant team dry bag, which stays with us on the boat. Bigger stuff like backpacks can go in the lockers at the dock.
You’ll be in good hands — not only do we have our awesome head coaches, Sarah & Erica, but we also have a crew of amazing bench coaches. One of them will be assigned to help you out during your first few paddles.
